St. Swithin's Square, Lincoln LN2 1HA
Japan Festival 2017 is collaborating with the Lincoln PechaKucha group, kicking off with this Japan Festival special in St Swithins church.
What is PechaKucha?
‘PechaKucha’ means ‘chitchat’ in Japanese, and is a fun event devised in Tokyo to help people share their artwork, creativity and culture. We’re inviting some amazing local artists and creatives who have been inspired by Japanese culture to share their work and discuss what they’re passionate about!
PechaKucha takes the form of 20 images, each shown and spoken about for 20 seconds, so our brave speakers will have just under 7 minutes to share their topics with you.
For this special event we will also be bringing in some Japanese catering (we can’t have anyone going hungry in the interval!), and hosting pop-up activities around the stunning church venue.
Who will be there?
We will be announcing speakers and artists as we get closer to the event, but topics will include Japanese food, film, art, travel and more! Follow us on Twitter @JapanFest for updates!
